Rumour & Reputation: A Habershire Adventure
Impeccable manners, unrequited love, devious machinations, and lots of letters… If you’ve been looking for a role-playing game set in a Jane Austen-esque world, then this is for you. Storybrewers RPG’s Good Society gives players the power to craft narratives for a wide array of characters in a queer, non-patriarchal Regency era England. We’ll be setting up rendezvous on windswept heaths, generating scandalous rumors through town gossip, and revealing life-altering truths on the ballroom floor.
Who will find love and who will find ruin in “Rumour & Reputation: A Habershire Adventure” — only you can decide!
About the GM: Ian Bond (he/him) is a Seattle-based actor, fight director, intimacy director, and board game connoisseur (having worked for more than five years at Blue Highway Games). His expansive knowledge of theatre, comics, sci-fi/fantasy books and movies, and board games — combined with his love of inclusive narratives that bend toward justice, grittiness, and character growth — provide the foundation for his parties’ epic tales.
About the System: Good Society is a collaborative role-playing game that seeks to capture the heart, and the countenance, of Jane Austen’s work. It is a game of balls, estates, sly glances, and turns about the garden. At least on the surface. Underneath this, just as in Austen’s own novels, it is a game of social ambition, family obligation and breathtaking, heart-stopping longing.
