Monster of the Week: Killing the Classics

December 17, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Come join GM Jason Panzer (ECGMG “Company Warlock”) for biweekly Monster of the Week sessions, and get your chance to kill classic movie monsters imported to the Pacific Northwest!

About the Game: Monster of the Week is a 2d6, fate-like game built on the Apocalypse World system. You are a Monster Hunter in the classic tradition of Buffy, Harry Dresden, Mulder and Scully. The characters (playbooks) are based on those classic archetypes. It’s a flexible, relatively simple system and anyone is welcome to jump in and out of the sessions. Zero experience, near-zero prep needed, and all sessions are Pay-What-You-Can with a recommended price of $15 per person.

About the GM: Jason Panzer has been playing tabletop RPGs since cargo pants were a fashion choice, and he has yet to find a better way to get people telling stories together. He favors improvisation over rulesets and storytelling over mechanics. The only two rules at his table are “play your character” and “have fun.” He is most familiar with D&D 5e and the Powered by the Apocalypse games. Stay awhile, and listen!
